safithomas:
There are many dancers who become choreographers prematurely. They are in essence unripened fruit. Not very palatable and having a poor impact on the system which ingests it.
A complete dance education is requisite in order to delve into choreography. It is counterintuitive to pursue our…

Dance on Film- full circle
For my very first dance happens. blog post, I discussed an article I had read regarding dance movies. It was a top-ten list of what was supposed to be the best of the dance movie genre, and I had some issues with it.
Now, one year later, another source has developed a comprehensive list of outstanding dance on film. Though not a top-ten list, it truly is a wonderful compilation of titles, with...

I like to spend my time working on projects, being engrossed in a task from beginning to end, and I rarely enjoy scouting out the next big thing. Hopefully, it will just drop into my lap or knock on my door or drop me an e-mail saying “Hey, what you’re doing is neat! Can I give you money for...

Then, of course, I’d have to look for the matching scrunchie to wrap around my bun and spritz a little more Aqua Net on my feathered...

The "Top Ten"?
So Travis sent me this link to Yahoo Movies this morning. It claims to list the “Top Ten Dance Movies”. Check it out:

“And now it’s time for the breakdown…”
For every movie mentioned, I thought of at least one more that was missing or should have been on the list instead of another.

Greetings!
…and welcome to my blog. I am a dancer/dance teacher/community builder/budding nerd. I am generally busy with about a thousand things and sometimes I just have the desire to get all of my thoughts and over-analysis out of my system…. in a way that will not annoy my friends and relatives.
